During the 1950s it was contained through watering down – Protestantism was so dominant that it essentially sanctified existing conditions.
A Battle for the Finest Among Us
Therefore I have felt heartened to see the persistent defiance against Trump arise in this past year. It has served as significant comfort to participate in developing the campaign that has taken to the streets through repeated demonstrations, and appears to have motivated citizens to turn out in significant amounts in interim political contests.
